This photo shows the original St. Vincent's Breakwater  lighthouse which was originally located on the St. Lawrence  River. Today, two metal beacons serve  that position. The lighthouse now stands at the
entrance to the town of St. Vincent, New York.

This is the Tibbetts Point Lighthouse and keepers   house  located at the mouth of the St. Lawrence River and Lake  Ontario. The keepers house is a Youth Hostel and you  can make arrangements to stay overnight.  Several years ago, I and a few other ham radio operators  who are members of the Amateur Radio Lighthouse  Society (www.aslhs.com) put this lighthouse on the air  and stayed in the keepers quarters. The keepers house  has two private rooms and a full kitchen on the first floor  and two dorm style rooms with bunk beds on the second  floor.
